Privacy Policy

This policy describes the information collected during a visit, the reasons it is used, and the limited situations in which it may be shared. By using Dade County Criminal History, you accept the practices stated below.

Data You Give Us Directly

Search Queries

A name or place entered in a search box is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or log those search terms on our systems.

Messages and Contact Submissions

We may keep a message sent to us long enough to answer and maintain the related correspondence. It stays within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Data We Gather Automatically

Our servers receive basic technical data when a page loads, including:

  • The IP address assigned to your device
  • Which browser you are using and its version
  • Your device type and operating system
  • The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
  • The site that sent you here, if any
  • Timestamps for each page view

Cookies and Analytics

Cookies are small files stored on a device. They and analytics services help us understand traffic in aggregate, such as which pages are used most and where visits end. Browser controls can block cookies, although parts of the site may then work differently.

What We Do With This Data

Collected data is used only to operate, assess, and support the service. Typical uses include:

  • Keeping the site up, running, and loading quickly
  • Sending your search requests to the right partner service
  • Figuring out which pages people find useful and which need work
  • Tracking down and fixing technical issues
  • Showing ads that may line up with your interests

No Criminal-Record Data on File

We do not keep, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The content identifies where Dade County records can be requested from the Sheriff, Circuit Court, Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a file about another person.

Third-Party Search Partners

Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted through a tool is governed by that provider's privacy policy. Each provider controls its own retention and disclosure practices, so review those terms before running a query.

Links to Other Websites

Links may lead to courts, the Dade County Sheriff, Missouri agencies, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy policy controls. Read that policy before providing personal data.

Certain advertising partners may track your activity across sites to show targeted ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not ours.

Who Might See Your Data

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be disclosed to:

  • Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
  • Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
  • Ad networks that place ads on our pages
  • Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it

How We Protect Your Data

Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected data. No internet system can be guaranteed secure, so we cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur.

Users Under 18

The service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, we will delete it.

Your Data Rights

Rights may vary with the law that applies to the visitor. Missouri public-record access is governed by the Missouri Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, while criminal-history dissemination is governed in part by RSMo ยงยง43.500 through 43.543. Those public-record laws do not convert this private site into a government custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:

  • Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
  • Have us fix information that is wrong
  • Request that we erase your data
  • Opt out of certain kinds of data processing

Updates to This Policy

This policy may be revised. A replacement becomes available on this page with its new effective date, so visitors should review it from time to time.
